Iron Maiden 's 17th studio album , Senjutsu , has divided fans over the past month. While the long track lengths have been cited as a flaw Bruce Dickinson and Nicko McBrain themselves consider the album one of their best and most cherished works .

Just over a month after its release, the album has already been digested by fans, who decided through a Wikimetal which is the best song on Senjutsu . With 24% of the votes, the public's favorite was the closing track "Hell On Earth," curiously one of the longest songs on the album, lasting just over 11 minutes.

In second place was the single “The Writing On The Wall”, with 20% of the votes. This track was chosen to announce the release of Senjutsu and received an animated music video with a narrative that hides a series of Easter Eggs to puzzle fans. In third place, with 10% of the votes, was “Stratego”, the second single from this era of Iron Maiden, one of two collaborations between Steve Harris and Janick Gers present on the album.

In previous polls, Wikimetal's audience voted Metallica 's The Black Album as the best album of 1991, while Iron Maiden 's Killers was chosen in 1981 and Led Zeppelin IV in 1971.
